Player guide & controls
A reference for the Windows playtest of Mayo Lumberjack. Controls apply to the game build, not to a browser game.
Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| A / Left | Chop from the left |
| D / Right | Chop from the right |
| Space | Use a whirlwind |
| Escape | Pause and open help |
Understand the core loop
1. Pick your side
Read the next branch before every swing. Banded logs take two hits, so keep your eyes on the trunk.
2. Make a comeback
Spend a whirlwind when the tree gets tricky, then earn stars and coins to improve your kit.
3. A complete woodland trail
Follow twelve chapter stories with a map, music, upgrades, a finale, and saved progress.
Plan your next attempt
Read the branch above the next log before choosing a side. Banded logs take two hits, which changes the timing of the next decision. A whirlwind can help with a difficult tree; stars and coins support later kit improvements.
When something goes wrong
Pause with Escape and check the help in your build. For a repeatable problem, note the build version, the stage or chapter, the input device and the steps that led to it. Send those details through support and feedback.
Windows playtesting is ongoing. Controller and other device support should be checked against the specific build; a listed binding does not establish hardware compatibility. See current development information.
